San Jose trip!

I went to San Jose, CA with my Mom and two of my Sisters, and some of us brought our daughters. Our sweet husbands stayed home and took care of our boys and did a great job. Thanks Dan for making it possible for me to have some "OFF" time. I love you.

We went to host a baby shower for my cousin Michaela. She is the only girl cousin on my mom's side of the family that lives in the U.S. and she hasn't any sisters, so we thought it would be fun, and a good excuse to get away for a few days. Of course there had to be a heat wave the week we choose to go. 100 degrees about and no cooling systems what so ever. It just never gets that hot near the coast. The drive wasn't bad, we talked, read books and Tay watched movies and we all slept a bit. It was so hot and really hard to relax at my Grandparents. So Friday we headed to the beach. It was 88 deg. when we left at 10 am, but right down by the water it only got about 88 deg. all day, and there was a slight breeze, so it was very nice. We walked across the river that comes into the ocean there, and walked along the pier to eat lunch, shop, and see the Sea Lions. The babies were so cute. We didn't get home until 7 pm, hoping it would be cooled down a bit, but not a chance. Saturday we got up and prepared for the shower. We really enjoyed seeing all of our Great Aunts, and some of my mom's cousins. It has been a while since we have seen them. ( the grand kids now go to spend a week with G&G, in the summers instead of us, so they have seen the family alot more than we have.) We went shopping at the mall(it's huge, it would take literally all day to see every store) to escape the heat of the house and to have dinner. Sunday we packed up and were gone by 8:30. We weren't waiting around for it to heat up! The trip home was great, and as always we were glad to be home. It was a fun little get away!!
